Group ski lessons
Skiing in the ski area, mixing technique, games and friends! The skiing adventure becomes concrete for your child when they are given their ski pass and follow their instructor on the slopes.
From the Club Piou Piou to the Gold Star level lessons, children are supervised by our qualified ski instructors in complete safety.
Up to the age of 6, whether they are beginners or have already skied before, your child can join the Club Piou Piou: the first step in their learning.
In limited and homogeneous groups organised at the beginning of the session, children make progress throughout the week with a test at the end of the week.
- Beginner children (4-6 years old), or having obtained Piou Piou or Blanchot, register for Piou Piou.
- Children who have obtained Sifflote or Garolou, or beginners aged 7 and over register for Ourson.
- Children who have obtained the Ourson register for Flocon.
- Children who have obtained Sifflote or Garolou, or beginners aged 7 and over register for Ourson.

Prestige ski lessons
A new course that combines the excitement of a group lesson with the technical efficiency and flexibility of a private lesson.
The Prestige course allows you to avoid the busy start of the group lessons at 10am.
During these times, the ski area is much quieter, with less queuing at the lifts and fewer people on the slopes.
A perfect environment to learn!

Private lessons
Private lessons of up to 1 hour are perfect for the little ones who need individual attention. Our long experience has taught us that some children need more adaptation time than others.
esf La Giettaz instructors are qualified and know exactly how to proceed.
In a 1 hour private lesson, your little one will be able to spend more time with his/her instructor who will help him/her discover skiing while having fun.
We recommend private lessons to all children who do not feel comfortable in group lessons or who need more attention.

Trapper's apprentice training course
Discover the mountains, explore their secrets, like a trapper with a different theme every day: igloo building, snowshoeing, discovery of animal tracks, orienteering, laser rifle shooting, first aid and avalanche transceiver search, treasure hunts...
Children must come warmly equipped with boots and ski suit, gloves, hat (no skis!), we provide the Trapper equipment.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to book the lessons in advance?
School holidays are busy times. Please book early to ensure the availability of our lessons.
We may close the online booking for some of our lessons. The purchase will then be done on site according to our availability.
Is the ski equipment included in the esf lesson price?
The lesson price does not include the equipment rental that must be arranged before your first lesson.
Do I need to buy a lift pass for the ski lessons?
The lift pass is not included in the price of the lessons. All levels need a lift pass that must be purchased at the lift ticket office, except for the Club Piou Piou and the beginners (see with the instructors at the end of the first lesson to take it later if needed).
How do the level tests work?
Children registered in the group lessons take their level test on Friday during the lesson. At the end of the session, the instructor will present the medals. You must then go to the office WITH the medal to have the level booklet stamped. The Bronze Star and Gold Star tests are done in two parts, on Thursday the timed part and on Friday the technical part.
Will my child get a medal?
Friday is the day of the tests. Each child will be given a medal by the instructors to end the week with a friendly time.
Is the insurance included?
Students are not insured by esf. We advise you to take out the e-gloo insurance to avoid any risks and financial problems in the event of an accident. You can add this insurance when purchasing your lessons or lift pass.

Located just 100m from the ski area and the Club Piou Piou, "Les Petits Montagnards" childcare centre takes care of children attending esf La Giettaz ski lessons, looking after them and providing them with lunch before or after their lessons.
In La Giettaz, "Les Petits Montagnards" childcare centre welcomes children from 3 to 6 years old. Fun indoor or outdoor activities supervised by professional childcare staff are waiting for them: snow games, sledging, walks... (depending on the weather conditions.
